Conclusion

As a conclusion, from almost half semester of learning Human Resources Information System (HRIS) earlier I found myself a bit unclear of what really I’m learning about because the subject focuses fully on the systems that need to deal with. Alhamdulillah, week by week I’m able to make myself clear on the HRIS and I manage to get on with it.

HRIS is actually a combination of Human Resource Management (HRM) and Information Technology (IT) which because the system that provides information. In other word knows as Information System (IS). IS has its own importance which helps us in our daily activities such as online shopping, online banking’s, online ticketing and etc. Nevertheless, this kind of system makes people’s life easier compared to those days.

Next, in order to gain competitive advantage any businesses must be able to adopt and adapt with several competitive forces such as rivalry among the business in the industry, threats of new entrants, substitution products, and also the bargaining power of customers and suppliers. So in order to stay on the succession of the business in the market, the ways to overcome the competitive forces are through competitive strategies namely; cost leadership, differentiation strategy, innovation strategy, growth strategy and alliance strategy.

Regarding globalizing HRIS, it consists of three types of model which are multinational, global and international. Apart from that, the globalizing HRIS is more efficient when the new model were being developed that is “Transnational Model”. This model is developed from combining previous three models into one.  So, transnational model would help the businesses entities such as McDonalds, Tesco, Wall-Mart and etc. to operate beyond national boundaries.

In a nutshell, I understand that Human Resource Information system is interrelated with information technology and it is the contribution factor to the success of the businesses.
